The maiden voyage of "Da Choppa" our papercrete machine. The setup is a deconstructed finish mower fitted with a stock tank and mower blade. The unit will be used to pulp paper; the paper is mixed with Portland Cement to make a fibrous concrete that provides both structure and insulation.

  • let's see, the blade spins so that things would be flung upward...

did this work out to be the case? ;)

  • @jacktheripped

We actually attached the blade system both ways. As it turns out this way is most effective at pulling the pulp into the blade; it churns pulp upward no matter the orientation. With enough material in it remains cohesive and there is little material thrust out of the mix; we actually use a lid though to catch any incidentals and the obvious keeping of people out... It actually works quite well, we've made A LOT of papercrete!
