  • i don't understand the notation of vectors. a vector is written with an arrow above the lettre. the notation used here is very strange, i've never seen it before (i studied math in belgium at the university of leuven)

  • @slimmerikje There are a few different ways of representing vectors. One way is using an arrow (like you say); another is using bold face letters, however, this is not possible with pen and paper, so many use a tilde under the letter to represent a vector. You may also like to know that I visited UCL in Louvain le Neuve several years ago where I presented some mathematical seminars. Nice place!
