Figuring out how to use your button hole foot can be annoying, so the team at Totally Stitchin has put together some sewing basics videos. Totally Stitchin shows you how to sew a button hole using a sewing machine, Maria, by Baby Lock.
In 1973 in home economics class we were taught how to use a button hole foot. I was sick that week. Since then I have never sewn anything that required a true button. Instead I used snaps and fasteners.
I bought a Brother nx250 recently and although I tried, I could not figure out how to use the buttonhole foot. Your explanation was the only one I found online that easily and simply explained it 1-2-3
I'm 51 years old and I thank you for teaching me something I always wanted to learn!
Thank you!!! This video was so helpful.

Yes, excellent! I wondered why I couldn't do it on my machine...I didn't put the button in! I guess it'll work if I do that! :)
