Full Metal Jacket - Motivational Speech

[CHANGED DESCRIPTION] It's the full speech although the first half is what I usually show to my students. The guy really was a drill instructor and you can see that. Two reasons to watch it: a) you should know why you don't want to be a soldier (or marine), and b) it's an ultimate listening comprehension for my students. [ANSWERSING ANGRY VIEWERS] Yes, this extract and the whole film are nothing but an anti-war manifesto. So when you watch it, you're supposed to learn about the stupidity of wars and being a soldier/marine who's supposed to be a mindless killing machine. You disagree with that? You can. Just don't offend me, when this is exactly what Stanley Kubrick wanted to say.

@Colenelnelson The idea on whole is to offend EVERYONE. He's trying to set a tone and as he says "weed out non hackers." When your life is on the line, you're not worried about political correctness. You want mentally tough individuals you can count on. He's working on weeding out the mentally weak. If you cry by being called some epithet, you're no good to me when bullets start flying. Understand?
