  • i think chuck schuldiner was lucky to work with him.. not the other way around

  • i am aware of that

although chuck schuldiner made a distinct imprint on the genre, i think paul masvidal (and sean reinert for that matter) are such rare talents that even someone like chuck pales in comparison

  • @thumbass42 I think they were both lucky to meet each other, they thought alike in many things.

  • haha He get stoned, id love to get stoned with him.

  • Idk Chuck pretty much helped invent death metal as well as later on pionerring its more technical side. I'd say Chuck and Paul were lucky to work with each other honestly to great talents rarely get to combine efforts.

  • i thought focus was much better and more unique than traced in air

  • @thumbass42

chuck actually said that he recruited paul and sean to sort of better himself. bring in the two jazz fusion dudes to try and expand chuck's horizons. Sean and Paul were the launching pad to which Chuck's new progressive direction took off.

  • Death was already an established metal band when Paul joined. Paul benefited more from their relationship.

  • i got to meet him after a gig, and he's really cool and down to earth

  • lucky bastard.....he got to work with chuck schuldiner......gaod dammit
