This episode is all about applying false eyelashes and red lipstick to give you that sexy Old Hollywood glam! Think Dita Von Teese, as a more updated example.

In my next video, I will be transforming this look into a 60s mod look.

Makeup used in this video:
* Mac False Eyelashes
* Lashgrip Glue
* Shiseido Liquid Eyeliner
* Rimmel London Eyeshadow no.241 Matte White
* Napoleon brown eyeshadow
* Lancome Definicils Mascara - black
* Chi Chi Red Lip Liner
* "Mac Red" Lipstick
* Mac Sheertone Shimmer Blush in "Foolish Me"

  • Is there any tips you can give to make this look last the night at a special ocassian and also I have ivory toned skin what red lipstick would look good on me?

  • I pick red lipsticks more based around the colour of someone's teeth. Because even if you pick a colour that suits someone's skin tone or hair colour, it may make their teeth look really yellow (which red lipstick is notorious for). A blue red lippy will not fail. Try Mac's Ruby Woo, or Mac Red.

    If your teeth are very white, then you can go for different base colours to the red, like a more orange red. It really depends on your hair, eye colour, etc.

  • Love the tutorial..adores it!

    I really really LOVE red lipstick & the pin up look but due to the environment (asian culture) that i live in - red lipsticks are usually associates with 'mothers' or 'grannies'- and if i walked around town with the retro look ppl would have thought that im a bit cuckoo lol.. I've bought ruby woo(mac), but i havent dare using it til now (been 5mths nw)..still havent got the guts to use it..HAHAHA.. i think gonna wait til my bday then..

  • I know what you mean. But, as I've said to people all throughout this channel, red lipstick should be worn with conviction. You should wear it to show off. And no matter where you are in the world, or what people think of it, it will look sexy if you wear it with confidence.

    I love love love red lipstick on asian girls!

  • what is the music in the background? i really love your choice of music in your videos. thanks.

  • Thank you. It's "My Heart Belongs to Daddy" by Eartha Kitt.

  • Holy moly...my dear, you are drop-dead gorgeous. With or without makeup. Thankfully for me and the other over 8,000 subscribers, you not only use makeup, you have turned the application of it into an art form then shared the techniques. (The flapper makeup tutorial is utterly fab, and perfect for recreating that look)

    Thank you!

  • @askmemakeup

    can you define blue toned lipsticks for me? I've been told to go for those since many lip colours make my teeth look yellow, how do i know if a colour has a blue or yellow tone?

  • you look Very beautiful*

  • omg!!! you are super pretty!!! your eyes and lip are gorgeous! can you plz do more makeup tutorials that is done one You, not one some else because you are already very pretty!! :) thanks!

  • Your making up is absolutely stunning! :) Although I have a quick question. Did you happen to put any shadow or eyeliner on the bottem of your eyes, or is that mascara? I didn't quite catch that. If you could let me know, I'd really appreciated it! Take care! :)

  • Thank you for your tutorials, they are extremely helpful! One question. I've noticed that the lashes I've purchased are entirely too long. Is there a rule of thumb for the length of which to cut the lashes? Thanks!
