Here is Don Campbell's finished 1/12th scale model of the Hitachi EX-8000 . Don guesses it weighs between 150 and 200 lbs. Built of 18 ga. metal and all welded and bolted together. Another one of a kind monster model.

  • I visit your website all the time and I am impressed with what you are doing. You are an inspiration to me because I love to collect mining models but how you are able to build each one at such an impressive scale and so detailed is an amazing feat. One day you should make a model of the bucyrus 495 electric shovel in 1/12 scale because it is a very unique piece of equipment.

  • glad you enjoy visiting my website . I try to keep the daily pictures interesting . I have over 100 future machines on a list I want to build someday. I love building one of a kind models.

  • I cant wait for you to build my Cat 321c lcr

  • Should be a fun project to build too .

  • are these models powered to move themselves?

  • No, these are just static models . But for $5,000.00 more they could be working models.
