I use both Mac and Win7 PC's. Apple had a *clear* advantage for years, but for the same price as a good Mac, you can now run a Win7 machine that runs at twice the speed, with twice the memory, twice the HDD etc. ProTools is VERY stable on Win7. I'd say the Apple advantage has been reduced to next to nil at this point. MacOS is still superior, but Win7 is damn good also and WAY cheaper.

@ABposproductions Mac is a virus, who wants to waste his time to make a virus for mac?
I got a pc and havent had a virus for about 5 years

Or... People can try each one in a store, Mac or Pc. I have one of each and use each for completely different things. Never had a virus on either.

@nyran125 Ever since the new features that allows Windows 7 to focus on audio (shut down appearance apps among other things) it became much better for audio.

@davoidd
The reason Macs are easier to work with is because there are very few models being made. That makes compatibility issues easy to isolate among models. PCs come in so many makes and models, mother boards etc. It is much harder to isolate a problem component.
