The Lion King - Can you feel the love tonight - French version with subtitles.

[Pumbaa]
Si notre ami nous dit "au revoir",

[Timon & Pumbaa]
nous serons seuls au monde !

  • srsly tho, french and german developed from one launguage; how come one of them is launguage of love, and when using 2nd one every single word sounds like name for some evil weapon/war machine

  • @rhaston01 lol. But actually they don't really come from the same language. French comes from Latin while German mostly comes Germanic languages ;-) Now here you have your explanation ^^

  • @FiatLux47

German comes from the ancient Germanic Runes.

It's the base for many languages. Norwegian, German, Swedish, Icelandic, etc.

English is a Germanic Language, but 60% of English Roots come from Latin.

It's probably why Our language can sound harsh and sharp with some words, and yet sweet and flowing with other words. So we get the best of Both Worlds. :)

  • @XxAdmiralxThowraxX But still, no real common root between German and French, as opposite to was what rhaston01 was saying. I myself never said that German sounded harsh and sharp. I live in (the French-speaking part of) Switzerland. Almost 70% of Swiss people speak an awful dialect called Swiss-German (you can die from ear bleeding just by hearing it, seriously). In comparison, German sounds like the most beautiful language in the world. Actually, in comparison, any language does :D

  • @FiatLux47 It's just because the swiss accent sound really bad :p

More seriously, I'm agreed with you about Swiss-German, it's one of the worst language in the world.

I realy like german but french remain the best :p

Maybe you like german so much because you live next to the worst version of this language and you feel relieve to hear good german ^^

  • @Blaune07 That's very likely indeed ;)

  • That's funny ^^. In France we say it's Italian, the language of love :D

  • @rhaston01 Well, like many have said, it doesn't come from the same language, and in my opinion, I don't understand why so many people elevate french above German. It's just a social construction. If you took a more objective look, personally I find French too nasally and German more softer sounding. It may be more guttural, but that actually gives it a certain flair I like.

  • @truthheals117 i am sorry, but i am from other country and i had a horrible french teacher.he was very mean and always scary.this is the reason why i hate french so much:|...i am sorry guys...i do not hate the country, just the languague because it reminds me of that mean teacher.

  • @rhaston01 French has been stereotyped for the language of love, and if you've ever actually listened to German people speak, the majority do not sound like how you've depicted them.

La Terre entière ne parfaite harmonie vit un moment royal." means "Love shines under the stars with a strange light. The whole earth in perfect harmony lives a royal moment." Contact me if you want all of the translation. ;)

  • j'adore cette chanson <3

  • seriously this version is better !!

  • :)♥

  • @earthy28 SAme here :) i also have A Whole New World in like 10 different languages...

  • I prefer the Canadian lyrics for nala's part

But since I'm from France I must say, this version is better :D
