For me this version captures the essence of icy, vast Finland better than any other; Francescatti's first movement with Bernsetin and the Heifetz/Hendl are also great in their way, but this is very special. What a great spirit, musician, and violinist Neveu was! She is certainly one of the top five or so violinists of all time and left a few memorable recordings.
