Dai Jian was born in Hunan Province, China and is graduate of the Beijing Dance Academy & Guangdong ATV Professional Academy for Performing Arts, founded by Madam Yang Meiqi, where he majored in performance and choreography and studied Graham technique, Limon repertory, release techniques, Ballet, Chinese Classical Dance, Chinese Folk Dance and Tai Chi. 2004 He received a full scholarship to attend the ADF. After the year he joined the member which Shen Wei Dance Arts until 2008, He was also danced and choreographed for Jin Xing Dance Theater and Guangzhou Song & Dance Ensemble in China. Dai Jian joined TBDC in Nov 2008.
