Coming back after spending a few days at EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, WI. Sorry for the jerky video at times; I was trying to shoot video on a tripod designed for a still camera. Hope you like it anyway. :)

  • Nice and sweet landing... I love when it stay a little time above the runway before touch down. Great !!

  • one of the best videos i have seen so far....good view from where ur standing :)

  • that plane is huge, I would be scared to land that.

  • Embry-Riddle...big deal, UND is where it's at ; )

  • The pilot flared too early (1:40) which would lead a smooth landing. However it must be tough to land this baby into crosswind. I agree with @foxtrotflyer28

  • haha you say I don't know, but then you agree it was not smooth, which was exactly what I had said. I didn't say it was the worst landing ever, I simply said it was not smooth referring to the "nice smooth landing" comment from below. Also, you talk to me like I don't know a thing about flying.. well let's just clear a few things up. I attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I am a pilot and have many experiences landing in wind. If I may ask, what are your aviation qualifications?

  • Exactly, you don't know. Its not always about smooth landings, it is about getting the aircraft down safely and with no incidents. It was a good landing, not smooth but satisfactory. Weather can always affect a landing, you wouldn't be able to land smoothly on a windy day with winds blowing all about in different directions...changes in air speed can suddenly lift an aircraft back into the air in an attempt to nail a super smooth landing.

  • I don't know if I would call this a "smooth landing." He seems to float for a very long time before making a relatively firm impact with the runway (notice the wingflex). Either way, still an improvement over the OSH landing which I happened to witness in person.

  • gr8 video, great aircraft...5*

  • Nice video! Alot better landing than at Osh Kosh. Didn't really notice the jerkyness too much, it was more enjoyable hearing that excited child in the background. Awesome!!!
