These TUD tests are pretty brutal and hard to relate to operational flight loads. Sorta like you and I can take 60G (properly restrained of course) for a brief period of time but we'll fail if it doesn't let up. Does anyone know the joule count here? And for crying out loud, once and for all, wings BREAK off and you BRAKE to slow down!!! You take a coffee BREAK from rebuilding your car's BRAKES!! If your wings BREAK off, you generally cannot BRAKE your descent!

well they say that it should be 120% of design limit load which is an ultimate condition.  Design limit load is the worst case scenario of loading that they can put on the wing in flight. So having it go 154% of DLL is very good.

maybe they should test that with fuel in the wing.
