A simple screen capture of how to enable Quicklaunch on Windows 7..

1. Right click on a empty space on the taskbar and click on New Tool.

2. In the Folder line, type or copy:

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

3. Click on the Select Folder button.

4. You now have a Quick Launch toolbar on the taskbar.

5. To mimic the original XP style QuickLaunch you'll want to do the following: remove text/icon labels - place the quick launch over to the left - make the icons small as apposed to large - Let's do these now.

- Unlock the taskbar.

(Show hide more icons) - Left click on the dotted lines and hold, then drag it to the left or right to adjust to unhide all of the icons. Release the left click when done.

(Move to Left) - Left click on the dotted lines of the pinned taskbar programs of the left side and hold, then drag it to the right past the Quick Launch toolbar and release. Left click on the dotted lines of these and hold and drag them to make any adjustments to how you want them place on the taskbar.

(Hide Text and Title) - Right click on the Quick Launch toolbar title name, then uncheck the Show Text and Show Title by clicking on them.

(Small Icons) - Right click on the Quick Launch toolbar title name, then click on View and select to have Large Icons or Small Icons.

- Lock the taskbar.

7.To remove the Quick Launch - Right click on a empty space on the taskbar and click on Toolbars and Quick Launch to uncheck and remove it from the taskbar.

  • Whats the dock called you have on the desktop?

  • @TechnikerChannel It's called 'Fences' and is by StarDock. I highly recommend checking it out if you like to use your Desktop as a dumping ground

  • whats the song name?

  • @MVRDS Can't remember sorry. It was one of the royalty free AudioSwaps though. I can't find where a 'Audio Credit' is but I'm sure there used to be somewhere you could check what song it is.
