please tell me where you got the vst for this!!!!
-
where can i find the generator for this, so i can put it on fl studio

Like it, ignore the naysayers - the deviations from the "original" are what makes this good.

This is fantastic. So close to the original .Great work!

You did a great job here and it sounds like it easily could have been a BoC demo of the original tune. Of course you can always improve it but trying to match somebody else's sound in production is harder than designing original sounds.

original roygbiv is a masterpiece of electronic music but this is pretty good too
-
... it's full of win...

I quite like it, but the drums are way too bright, and very flat. Overall though gjgj :).

Wow this is the best cover so far.

DUDE HOW DID YOU GET THIS TOO SOUND SO REDICULUOSLY AWESOME IN FL STUDIO, GODDAMN MASTERMNID
The bass line has wrong notes in both halves. I know you say we should just get over it because it's a small mistake, but small mistakes are easy to fix. Also, I think the straight 16ths near the end really throw the groove off. This song always seems like a swung 16ths feel to me.
I love this song as much as anybody, but it's Boards of Canada's creativity and sound design that make me appreciate them so much, neither of which are found in this cover.

@spibbly The mistake really does bug me. My response to the commenter was more targeted at the brevity in his message. Really, I usually have such an attention to detail with covers and I can't believe they slipped past. I would have fixed it but alas it is somewhat beyond me - I have no access to the original project file as it was unfortunately destroyed. With regard to the straight 16th notes at the end, I agree. @spibbly [...continued] I just had no idea where to go at the end, not wanting to introduce ideas that weren't BoCs but still trying to develop them. The sound design aspect is similar, obviously I am not them, and attempting to emulate them perfectly would be futile, but I didn't want my own style to cloud the piece. Perhaps I should have let it show more. Thankyou for your comment, though. Maybe I will try and make a more original and more thoughtful attempt at a cover in the near future.

This is simply a superb version. Sublime :-)
Although no-one will ever be the genius that is BOC, you, sir, are on top of your game regarding paying homage to these guys.
And I love the little quirky departures you (naturally) make in this version - that kinda makes it your own tune. I'll listen out for more of your stuff in the near future..
Chapeau, monsieur. Chapeau :-)
