A Woman's Run Across America

Illinois native Katie Visco is running across America to inspire others to find their inner passion. She also hopes her run will inspire young women to improve their self esteem. Visco hopes to reach San Diego by Christmas. (April 27)

i actually had a chance to meet her while she was running and i can tell you that her intentions are very sincere and genuine and, at least to me, very inspiring. She needs sponsors to help her spread the message and fund her trip it is ridiculous to think she is doing this for attention because she is talking to young kids and raising awareness for Pave Your Lane. she is spreading a positive message.

I have often thought about dropping everything, saying fuck it, and just start running across the country (obivously more to it than that).

However I would not run for any reason or any cause other than I just wanted to run across America (Forest Gump style).

Eventhough she's a chick and it took her a bit longer than other cross country runners, she's got balls and a lot of moxie and I tip my hat to her.

Katie, is a very cool person. I ran with her for 3 mile in Kansas. We talked non-stop the whole time. She was very inspiring, and she is doing this for a great cause.

Just because you have sponsors doesn't mean anything negative. It's all about supporting organizations you believe in.

She's running to leave a trace of light behind her and the whole point is that she had a dream and WENT FOR IT. And who are you to judge that dream? I'm sure you have a dream too and I'm sure there is someone out there who doesn't support you in it. Either or, the mere fact that she's actually going after it IS the inspirational story (regardless of what you think of it)

forest gump is inspiring he rele did run for nothing. she is clearly using this as her way to fame. she claims shes running for nothing but has sponsors,places to stay, and doing media crap about pave ur lane. ill b inspired if she sleeps in a ditch every night.

Young people do not really care about being inspired. At least for the most part they don't. How is running across America helping anybody out? Soldiers are inspirational, not some bimbo that runs a lot.
