This is a real product that we are taking to market. We want to get feedback from people, either in the comments or directly to our email: UTurn11@gmail.com. Particularly we want to know if this would be a useful tool from your perspective as a musician, and how much you would expect to pay for it. If you'd be willing to discuss your views and opinions over the phone or otherwise, please indicate so in your email. Additionally, we'd love to talk to anyone with connections to the music industry of any kind who want to see this happen and be available for purchase.
To receive updates about UTurn, email us and we'll put you on our mailing list (no spam - we hate it too), and feel free to subscribe to our channel.
This video shows two individuals using UTurn and giving their thoughts. Matthew Bengtson (http://www.mattbengtson.com/) is a decorated professional pianist who has performed multiple times at Carnegie Hall. Brandon Bloch is the winner of the 2009 University of Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra's Concerto Competition, effectively making him the most talented musician in the school.
Below is a brief description of UTurn. Enjoy!!! :)
UTurn is a page turner that imitates a human assistant. It allows musicians to use their existing printed-page music scores without pre-loading them page-by-page, and supports forward and backwards turning. Most importantly, when a musician is ready to turn a page, they cue UTurn in the same way that they would cue an assistant: with a nod of the head, without ever taking their hands off of their instruments.
Note: In this video, the "head nod" is a head shake. That's been fixed; look for an updated video with proper nodding soon!
Definatley a great product, now make it available to the public!!!!

I think a foot trigger might be a little easier than having to nod my head back and forth like that
