Benedict XVIs General Audience catechesis on March 11th was dedicated to the work of St. Boniface, the Apostle of the Germans, who lived between the 7th and 8th century.The monk promoted the encounter between the Roman-Christian culture and the Germanic culture, and as a true follower of St. Benedict, he combined prayer with work (manual and intellectual), the pen and plow. The saints courageous testimony is an invitation to welcome the word of God as an essential reference point to love the Church and seek unity with the Successor of Peter.
