***SPOILERS***
Not very good reviews. It's not suppose to effect you emotionally. You are suppose to feel the same complacency that Mark is feeling. His perspective is so convoluted with factoids about polar bears and such that he can't connect with how serious the situation really is. The beauty of it all is he ends up informing on himself. When he states that he needs to go a hospital, its in a matter of fact tone. Just another factoid to him. He may as well been talking about the weather.

This was a comedy?? bullshit. this came close to literally boring me to tears. They could have done an awesome job with this concept but they really failed.

This movie was so boring, it isn't fit to call a comedy. Anybody who thought this was funny needs a reality check. And one last thing; good job professional movie reviewer, it's JOEL McHale, not John you moron.

The Informant! is the funniest movie since The Foot Fist Way.
Fact.

Oh! and my favorite line of all from the movie was when he was doing his little narrating thingy and he goes:
"I like indoor pools. Year around. I like how the steam comes off it in the winter time" hahahaha

this movie was not funny... all over the place as far as the "laugh-in" font, and the stylist for cloths and hair, did not get the nineties thing at all. You don't have to caricature it to be the 90's but at least get it right.
and last but not least.... Yawn.
Dumb movie, poorly directed. What the fuck happened to soderberg? oh, yeah, he's a jew and has his head in a zillion projects to make more money... sorry just forgot for a sec. Go back to your roots sod, and stop being a dumb jew.

Not what I expected when i went to see this movie but I thought it was interesting, as I knew about the real life case.
The way the guy talks and progresses in the story was the only funny aspect to this though.

This movie sucked. It wasn't funny at all!!

The movie was nothing like what i expected from the commercials, and even though damon performed well, I found the movie to be extremely boring, and a complete waste of my time...
In my opinion, the commercials make it look like another burn after reading type movie... which was purley adult humor. and not in a rude sence but in a "gee that should have been funny, let me analyze it then laugh" kind of way. im going to see it tommarrow. hopefuly im wrong. but alot of people seemed to like burn after reading. it just wasnt my type of commedy

No, it's not nearly as dark as "Burn" or "Fargo." Let me know what you think here after you see it!

So it's more in tune with Soderbergh's Schizopolis days?

It's pretty surface value, and maybe not as strange as that...but I have to admit, it grows on me the farther away from it I get. I'd like to see it again.

Wait...Are you guys in the KU Union? You went to the SUA screening, didn't you? Awesome sauce. Good review! I'm still really looking forward to seeing it.
PS: Have you guys heard the "This American Life" episode that ran a few years back on this exact story? I think it provides some pretty interesting context.
