Fourth week results of Accutane!

well...I just had a major breakout! It looks like this accutane is actually making it worse!!! I know there are supposed to be some breakouts here and there but man! Once my face was starting to get better my face just broke out horribly! Well let me know if this is a normal thing or i need to prob. change something Im doing...tnx

Hey there,

I can only speak from my experience and i'm no skin expert. When I was on accutane going back 2-3 years ago,my dermatologist did mention that things may get worse before they get better.People react to it in different ways so don't rely but the list of possible side affects is like a novel :PI was on a low dosage and towards the end of the 6 months of taking roaccutane,I was at around 60-80mg (hazy memory). Did the trick for me and it was the best decision i've ever made. Good luck :)

@tyvm1219 hey tnx...yea the breakouts just keep on coming and i thought the medicine is supposed to stop the breakouts, but its just pouring and I am definetily worse then before :(...but Im gonna stick with it and keep on using it!

it works though so keep using it.it takes like 2 months sometimes the whole 5 months to see results so,as bad as it is now,its NOW only and the now is here then its gone next thing you know 5 or 6 months pass by and your clear.

I've been on it just 10 or 11 days and my skin has broken out horrifically. My doctor did say this is "normal." What has your doctor said?

yeah its working. it supposed to remove the toxin and reduce your oil glands, thats why your skin is dry, treatment last up to 6-7 months. Its a harsh drug.

hello, u havent see my face yet. on week 2,pimples are covering whole over my face(seriously). the derm told me do nothing on my face so i din use any cleanser.only use moisturizer.

so i think ur course is over, so can u tell me when is the breakout start to off?

I also thinking like u, it is so crazy of my breakout and suffering. hope u can rely me asap..thanks...

@masterdebater4u if u don have other side effect like dry lips, dry skin, little headache...ur med must be got something wrong...if u do, u're lucky.. :)
