I have the 18ft Shallow Sport and I realy injoy the way it moves. I is a swallow water boat. Not very dry in rough water My wife and I realy injoy it.!
I have a Shallow Sport Sprint 18 and i really injoy it. It is a little rough and wet in dep choppy water in the bays. its a shallow water boat. I love it.
Runs fine in all shallows less than 3 feet. Gusty days and the chop gets REALLY harsh in the sandy deeper waters 4-6 feet deep and so does the intracoastal. I can't run mine comfortably in deeper water with chop on plane in chop much over what I would say is 1.5 feet from peak to trough. Then again why would you want to run in deep water like that. Sometimes only to cross from the east to west side but it's only short stint to cross in some places.
Great boat. Average depth of the water in the Lower Laguna Madre (South Padre Island) is around 6 inches. Total area is around 240 sq. miles. This is the only boat that will consistently get up on a plane in water that's only slightly more than calf deep. Few other boats can fish the entire bay system here.
Ok. You made your point. The boat does well in shallow water: 6 inches. But what about deep water: 10 inches? I noticed that you stayed in the shallow water. Don't try to fool me again. I have been on a full-size ship.

I would fear nailing a sand bar and shhoting right through the windshield. Nice boats though
