  • But what do the tards on GSC tell me?

    That the K is fullsize

The C is the SMG, and sometimes I get carbine...?

    The E is the standard

And apparently the MG doesn't exist...

So apparently, according to all these COD4 fan boys, my entire library on firearms is entirely wrong. The past 20 years of gunsmiths, marksmen, and soldiers, are wrong... yet the COD4 fan boys are right!

Can some one pleeease give me a KS23m and these assholes' addresses?!

    Okay... rant off...

  • It's not that I'm picking on GSC or OLP. It's only that they've set the standard higher than anyone else, so I can't help but have high expectations. But I feel your pain. I'm on the side of the experts (which who I prefer to learn from).

  • About mutants - they really made it so that shotguns are powerful towards them moreso than rifles.

It was like that without OL, but it's emphasized much more with it.

  • Not true with all shotguns. In vanilla, I could kill a flesh with one shot from the sawed-off on normal difficulty. In ObLost, it takes four or five to the face! This is assuming within normal ranges for that weapon, of course. The TOZ-34 does the job, though, but this is inconsistent. At close range, buckshot doesn't care how long the barrel is. The result will still be massive devastation on the enemy.

  • Do you mean that buckshot does more damage to unarmored enemies? That makes sense because of what buckshot does compared to a bullet. A bullet or slug has more penetration, but buckshot shreds flesh and tissue, creating a ragged and untreatable wound cavity. Medical examiners even differentiate "shotgun wound" from "gunshot wound."

  • Also I love your random singing at the end :D

  • For some dipshit reason, the last word "forever" got cut out of the line "no one lives forever" at the end. X(

  • According to IMFDB.org, the G36 version in STALKER is a fullsize G36 with a G36K barrel and flash hider. A real G36K has a shorter handguard (with 4 vent holes each side) than a fullsize G36 (with 6 vent holes each side)

  • One thing that REALLY bugs the shit out of me, is the misnaming of the variants of the G36's. I mention it on the GSC forums, and all the COD4 fan-boy assholes flame me! WTF!? Who would you trust, someone who as ACTUALLY USED THE DAMN GUN, or some 14 year old who doesn't know the difference between a TOZ-24 and a KS-24!

The K is near SMG in size,

The C is about 20% smaller than the fullsize

The E is export, and only offers 1.5x and red-dot sights

MG is a trial variant, with c-mag and bipod!

  • Oh, and to fix some of the problems with OL guns - get Arsenal and then get the merge patch.

Arsenal rebalances the weapons again to be more realistic, ballistics are better, and there are more weapons. I'll try and find a link to the merge patch if you'd like.

  • Yeah, that's pretty much it. Buckshot tears through mutants like paper for that reason.

  • I think there's a few Izloms around the dog infested woods of Garbage.
