I spent the weekend of May 18-20 in the Harvard Forest, a scientific research forest in Massachusetts. This video, taken by journalist Eric Niller, comes from the Forest's Blackgum Swamp, where I attempted to drive a core sampling tool into the ground.

Eventually, I was successful.
