This is an experiment inspired by Debussy's Brouillards Prelude from Book II and my many trips to Big Bend and the Mexican border along FM 170. In most scenes Texas and Mexico are indistinguishable. Most of this is filmed along the Rio Grande.

Auguries of Innocence
William Blake

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour..

  • debussy and blake both are like one finger pointing to a sphere of the world yet undiscovered and still drenched in its unconscious power

  • I like how you describe this very much!

  • I mean does not Debussy really draw out the moods hidden out in the land?

  • Thanks, I certainly think so!

  • Nice "cut". Good "cut to the beat/note" stuff. Nice use of stills and motion. Love Debussy too so a winner all around! Cheers. ~Kenndi KIng
