  • This video is wonderful.

I have a landseer who just had his first swim ( my sister's video response), and our black newfie tinkerbelle just passed. She was always very cautious and never went into water past her belly but I think if she had seen Monty swim she would have joined him.

Rest in Peace her beautiful heart.

And thank you for bringing back some memories.

  • @baby9007 Thank you so much. We just saw Monty's first swim and he looks so graceful and happy paddling in the creek. I can understand Tinkerbelle's caution though. When we first got Chloe, at one year old, she loved water but the first time she went into the pool she stepped off the last step and sank like a stone. (She didn't know she was supposed to move her legs!) So we had to teach our water dog how to swim. Monty certainly doesn't have that problem. He's a natural!

  • the videos title i ironic because harlequin newfies arent considered true newfies theyre considered another breed.

  • There is no such thing as a 'Harlequin Newfie'

The Black and White Newfoundland is called a Landseer, thus he is indeed a True Newfoundlander.

  • does someone knows the name of this song?

  • The song is performed by a Newfoundland band called "Great Big Sea". It is referred to as True Newfoundlanders or "The Ryans and The Pittmans".

  • beautiful dogs!!!

  • I love terranova.........

  • No, a Landseer is considered a Newfoundland by all organizations except for:

"Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) consider the Landseer to be a separate breed; others consider it only a Newfoundland color variation."

    Try reading around sometime. ;)

  • i know its called a landseer the name just slipped me. regardless its considered a different breed. do some research. ;)

cute dogs anyways im just sayng.
