A project for school. It is horrible, considering I had to convey a message (Suicide is bad.) and had requirements to meet. Also, I was not allowed to do some things I wanted to do. But other than that, I think it's put together well considering what I had to work with

  • it's not horrible; it's a simple, well made film, whose message the under-25 crowd will definitely get.

  • Of course you would. It's the natural process but take it from an outsider's point of view, i'd be lucky to get anywhere near your vid with mine, as again this will be my first time. I'm just gonna take a stab and hope for the best. *crosses fingers* lol.

  • You flatter me. Thanks. Glad you liked it (I myself hate it. I see all of the errors.)

  • Ahkay, yeah I wasn't planning on getting a fancy cam either. I have a soft spot in my heart for a lil vintage cam off ebay or something, haha. And yeah, mics. I need some of those aswell. I didn't think of it.

Thankyou for the help, I shall. However I can't say it'll be as good as yours though. Hopefully considering it's a major project, haha.

Thankyou again for all the help,

I'll be trying to mimic your good work.

    =]

  • As you might have noticed, all of my current films have crappy audio because I use the camera's built in mic. Also, a cheap editing program will suffice. I use a aggravating program called pinnacle, it's simple and locks up all the time, but it gets the job done. You can get one at staples or something. So, good luck in your filming and keep me updated on your work!

  • What actually shows the quality of the film is not a professional $3,000 dollar camera, but a small investment in mics. Excellent Audio will make your film seem like a Grade A product. Right now I'm investing in a more powerful computer and some boom mics to plug into the camera and an separate mp3 recorder. I don't plan on buying a expensive camera anytime soon. Expect to see more labors of love in january (With alot more quality).

  • I'm not a professional and I wouldn't consider myself one for quite a while. The camera I currently use is a mini-dv home video camera (they run about $200 now, although when I bought mine they ran $400.)

  • whoops, triple reply. sorry

  • Yeah ? Sweet. I have quite a few visions, lol. For me it's putting it all together really. I have no prof. camera's or anything and quite frankly am really amateur in film-making lol. What kind of camera did you use may i ask ?

And errors ? Man, when i finish mine, i'll post it on and hear laughter through my speakers haha.

  • I'm glad you liked it (I myself can only see all the errors.) Um, really you just need to envision it before hand. Find your music first. It'll help you paint the whole picture.
