I could run a 1957 Bel-Air for another 30 or 40 years...and it would still produce 100% less pollution than the combination of all the different factories that it takes to make just one single new car.

I've been looking all over for one and you trade it in to be crushed WTF? I'd have given you a hell of a lot more than the asshole government did.

A crying shame people sell out for cash, that cr seemed to be a fgreat running vehicle. If not it could of been used as parts to help the ones left on the road run cleaner..BETTER WAYS TO RECYCLE AND SAVE THE WORLD....

I would have loved the oppotunity to buy that car when my Custom Cruiser got totalled and I couldn't find another decent wagon to replace it with.

I love these cars for some reason enen though it is a wagon. I'd love to have one for a backup car. Sad to see it so misused. :(
If you traded that full frame, tough, renewable car in for a shitbox new car- you truly are the definition of a dipshit dumbass.

you are right, of course. these older cars are completely renewable and actually better for the environment. the carbon footprint created when the car was new has long sense been paid off. if you have a caprice or similar RWD car when the engine or transmission fails(unlikely if you maintain it) you simply get it rebuilt. my 89 camaro has a low low mileage 350, originally it was a 305. 305 still ran but i wanted more power. these cars are rebuild-able, new cars are throw away
