@DamienWar ah well yes, in terms of strategy, keeping up troop morale in the field, leading men and whatnot then he was probably vastly inferior to people like Nobushige(yukimura) Sanada, shingen takeda, Kenshin Uesugi and Nobunaga Oda, however when i say 'best samurai' i mean simply the best swordsman. Just like in western society, the name "greatest knight in all the land" brings up connotation of an unmatched swordsman, not a commander or strategist else it'd be 'greatest strategist/comander'

I am not sure I would say he was best samuria, it could easily be argued best dueler/swordsman of the time. But Musashi did not fight on battle field as much or served a lord for too long of a time. I could easily see better samuria that were more rounded when it comes to battle tactits and leading troops as well as skilled in swordsmanship. He was ronin for awhile which is a low class and considered disgrace for a samurai.

but the definition of right and wrong change from culture to culture. Im pretty sure most people tell you holocaust was wrong yet it was happening, just as their are still raciest in this world and don't see it as wrong. If nazis won war they would have seen it as a greater cause of purfiying this world in their eyes. Just as rape and slavery were not considered wrong thousands of years ago by majority.
