Now shall I really muddy the waters? In Emma Forrest's [she was with Colin Farrell for 6 months] book, Your Voice in My Head, she refers to the scarf as a keffiyeh. She is Jewish, and this is about the time they met.

It's not a gang thing but it shows that you support the the palestinian cause. Sadly it has become fashion and not many people who's wearing it knows what it stands for... the black-white is for Palestine, the red-white for Jordiania. I believe the green-white stands for Saudiaarabia, but i'm not 100% sure about that...
he dosent know or care what it stands for. he's freakin irish.
