ITS Marketing Manager, Mike McBride discusses the DX-1 and DX-2 line of affordable hand-held portable radiation meters are small enough to go anywhere, yet sensitive enough to detect minuscule amounts of gamma, beta or X-rays including the types released by nuclear power plants such as iodine and caesium. They are ideal for Homeland Security and detecting environmental / industrial contamination. Designed for everyone they use a Geiger-Mueller tube detector and an easy use one-button operation. When radiation particles strike the tube they are converted into an electronic signal and audible clicks resonate from the internal speaker.
