@WaterGallon yeah, it is hard. I usually put like 3/4 of a pillow leaning on the batter head, another pillow leaning on that pillow, and no pillows touching the reso head. so you still get the bassy resonance from the reso head, but you can sink your beater in the batter head.
@rboeger its hard to find a balance between dampening and volume. cause you can get rid of the ringing in the drum, but once you start playing its difficult to hear the bass over cymbals and the snare. congrats dood!!
