I cry easily also, It's hard to imagine those teribble scenes in the communist prisons.

It's easy to recognized the make up prison here in this clip.

The south vietnamese officers playing music was hungry but they had to laught loudly ! ! !

I admire Major Le Duc Cuong. He is my hero. His interview saved a lot of political prisoners.

@Tetterism Bạn ơi, không phải vậy đâu. Kể cả tù chính trị hay tù gì đi trăng nữa thì vẫn có chương trình văn nghệ, nhà tù nào chả thế, đấy không phải là bắt ép hát mà là ngay cả khi không có phóng viên họ cũng vẫn phải tham gia hoạt động văn nghệ. Nếu không cho họ đi các trại để đào tạo lại thì loạn lắm bạn à, đến giờ phút này, thế kỷ 21 vẫn còn có những tổ chức chống đối cộng sản rất mãnh liệt, nếu không rèn rũa lại họ thì làm sao có thể đưa đất nước vào lại một khuôn khổ được.

@damminhquan Họ là tù nhân chính trị. Đi tù thì chỉ mất quyền công dân thôi bạn ạ, không có nghĩa là mất quyền con người, mà đã là con người sao k đc cho ăn no trong khi vẫn bị bắt phải cười, phải hát khi có PV tới?

@GDQT If a country started to kill off mass population of its people they would have a huge world reaction. Genocide. Bosnia. North Vietnam took the concept of re-education from China as a way to isolate "dangerous" people from the population and in turn try to kill off as many prisoners as they can without the world seeing a red flag.

@dalailamass That's what they want you to think. What they do is clean up the camp before the report comes in, they give the prisoners a day off, give them new clothes, and show the healthiest of prisoners. Where do you think the other hundred are? Hidden away from the media. If you look closely at the guy playing the guitar, his shirt is 10x bigger than he is, it's making him look big. The major in the interview was later killed for his statement and his body burned.

I see the prisoners are healthier than the prison guards. I think Vietnamese communists are not that bad.

if South VIetnam won the war, I don't think there will be re-educated camp for North Vietnamese prisoner. they will kill them all, just like they did to anyone who suspicious as Vietcong during Vietnam war. this camp was filmed in 1984 and at that time VIetnam was very poor, even my family didn't have enough food to eat. if you said Vietnamese Gov is cruel, then I think they didn't need to build these camps, they just simply killed them all.

If South Vietnam had won the war, it would have been supporters of Ho Chi Minh in those concentration camps. Don't think that South Vietnam was any more tolerant then North Vietnam.

The soldiers of South Vietnam were cruel and corrupt. They would have murdered many supporters of Ho Chi Minh had the South won. Right-wing leader; Suharto of Indonesia, killed 500.000 members of the communist party during his dictatorship.

Anticommunist dictatorships are no friends of democracy or tolerance.
