If you cruise down La Brea early in the evening til after midnight, @ Melrose Avenue you'll spy a long line of enthusiastic hot dog lovers snaking down the sidewalk and on through the back alley. The hungry humbled masses traverse from far & wide to snap up the tasty morsels that come in a myriad of combinations: Chili Dogs, Cheese Dogs, Mild & Spicey Polish Dogs, Turkey Dogs, Guacamole Dogs, you name it! Pinks has been in business for over sixty-five years and is also known as the Hot Dog stand to the Stars. For good reason. Inside, guests are also treated to a collection of Star head shots - usually autographed by the celebrity - on the West Coast. In the HD Video here, captured by Julian Ayrs @ the Tattler, scan the walls and try your hand at naming 'em. Unlike some celebrity hang-outs from yesteryear, these priceless pieces of memorabilia are current and up-to-date and include actors & TV news personalities & music superstars from the past five decades. Paul & Betty Pink (really!) were the founders. The family still lovingly runs the famous eatery today in the heart of glittering Hollywood.
