This is a successful run on B80 Biodiesel fuel on a Model Aircraft Diesel engine. Previous runs were with a less refined fuel along with ether as the thinning and ignition agent. In that case, a great deal of the fuel was being expelled as waste oil, in fact. In this case, our power is up to par with conventional fuel. And in the next video we will illustrate, crudely, that there is far less oil being expelled. In fact, the smokey exhaust appears to be just that, smoke.
The first run on biodiesel/ether required 6 turns out on the needle. In this case, we are out only three. Conventional fuel requires two turns out.
I'm convinced that we are burning a substantial portion of Biodiesel fuel on this run. Further testing will be on 10% kerosene.
