High quality playback available! Also checkout part 2.

How this test was done:
-SSD was clone from the orginial 4200 RPM HDD using True Image 12
-Test performed on the HDD was replicated on the SDD
-Only one program was allow to run at a time
-SSD video was cut to compensate for the long HDD video, though initial loading time of each program was uncut.

Comments:
-I have a lot of startup programs and drivers, which may have affected bootup and shutdown time.
-I could not accurately test webpage loading because my internet can get unstable at times
-My benchmark differs from the claim benchmark, partly because we are using different machines
-Premiere Pro loaded slower than normal on the SSD video
-Fingerprint reader loaded slower than normal on the HDD video
-It is 2 years warranty not lifetime.

Pros
-Crazy fast
-No studdering
-Slightly lighter
-Aluminium casing
-No moving parts
-Completely silent
-Should outlast my lifetime
-Laptop now "runs" faster than my quadcore desktop!

Cons
-Heat is not significantly reduced (may actually feel hotter because aluminum disperse heat faster)
-Power consumption is not significantly reduced (may actually fluctuate battery life more because CPU has to work harder to keep up with the SSD)
-Writing speed is not as advertise base on my benchmark, but still faster than traditional HDD nonetheless

  • true, when 1000gb of HDD costs £80. and 30gb of SSD costs £300+, the choice is clear. Load times are bareable in my opinion.

  • That 4200 rpm is wicked fast considering how old its technology is. So let me guess, the 4200 rpm won this? Comparing the cost.

  • Can you put more than 1 ssd in your computer at one time so the memory doubles?

  • @israeldogfather Get the Samsung 256 SSD, decent price and better quality than other ones (of what I hear)

  • @emperorgrant

    i agree

  • fucking way to expensiveee

  • ssd or not...vista is so so so so so so slow...

  • @emperorgrant Depends on what you use it for.

I could never imagine myself using more than 30GB memory. It might not be for you if you're not multitasking heavily.

  • That is so slow! My XP is open in under 15 seconds.. With regular slow speed laptop HDD.

  • In my country 7200 RPM are expensive, so they still sell the old ones .. in fact .. i am very ashamed that i am still using the old ones ...
