Hate to break it to you, but this is advertisement. It has nothing to do with the internet's changes. Become more prominent and grandiose. Be original, be noticeable and clever or just downright blatant.
This isn't "Urban Spam". These are ads. Spam is internet advertising, though this does post a theory.
Are people born in the information age prone to thinking that the ways of the internet were in place first?

Fuck the people who complain about this crap, yes most of us will ignore it...BECAUSE YOU SHOULD. No, I have to be a hippy and complain about advertisements. What are they doing blocking scenery? No, you want to stare at a blank wall? Are they polluting the environment? No, I think the spray paint they are using to cover them is enough. No sorry only some lonely fuck who has nothing better to do but graffiti is the only person who can make original statements on otherwise blank walls.
