Dr. Wilber is the Director of Cardiology and Clinical Electrophysiology at Loyola University Medical Center. They say that a-fib starts in the pulmonary veins but why is it that 99% of anyone who has a-fib go into it, after drinking a ice cold coke! I will tell you why, its because also us people with a-fib have what i like to describe as fibromyalgia of the esophagus cardiac sphincter area, i can tell before i go into a-fib, just because how sensitive my throat and esophagus feels and how painful cold things feel when drinking them, and when i lay down, it throbs so? you guess?
