As a lifelong Frank Zappa fan, I'm usually not impressed when others cover his music. But this was exceptionally good.

@divinegrinder exactly what is it that i need to learn?i was 13 when i got turned on to zappa and i know every musician that's gone through his camp and i don't care how great a reader any musician is but there won't be a music stand on my stage.learn your shit at home,practice at rehearsal,stage is showtime

@divinegrinder Zappa's band rehearsed for months before tours that's why you rarely saw someone in the band sight reading but it did happen if they wanted to play new material. Obviously, it depends on the situation and how much time you have to rehearse for something. What's better.... being such a good sight reader that you can adapt to playing something you haven't played in over a decade, or that not even being an option because you have to practice everything you're playing that night?

@Natefunk49 Learn your shit before you comment. That is Ike Willis who played with Zappa longer than any other musician he played with. He is the main reason this is so authentic and awesome. Im pretty sure he knows his shit and i'm pretty sure there were some music stands on stage with Frank Zappa from time to time.
