so, let me get that straight. music industry ruined only Whitney's career and I guess a few more who died young (such as Amy W.) same time that the industry was making lots of money out of them and let all the other great singers stay alive. Good tune, but too bouncy and happy for him and his style, in my opinion. Don't be cruel had a dark edge to it. Almost menacing in a way. It always seemed like a really honest song to me, as though he was singing from the heart and possibly from experience. The others just seem like pop songs to me. I think he peaked too soon. This was his definitive masterpiece for me.
