In that race, they are side by side from the start, so letting off at the top of the track wouldnt cause Simon to stay with him from the start ;) Plus its the only race where Simon gets a clean launch...

So we dont agree, the world would be boring if anyone thought the same :)

But in the race at about 50sec in, both launch cleanly and theres very little in it. Like I say I was at the finishing line and could see that Simon was starting to catch Jonus. Jonus car launches harder, while Simons car seems to have more top end (Jonus: 700bhp, Simon 900bhp I think?)

All I'm saying is that with a 1/4 mile track, not the 1/8th mile, Simon would have passed him.

Not taking anything away from Jonus, an awesome machine!

That is the one when Jonus goes of the trottle. Notice how the audi dives with the front when he goes of.

Jonus made 1065hp @ 2,8bar boost in the Dyno.

When this movie was filmed he ran 3,0-3,1 bar boost so he have more like 1100hp.

So I still do not agree with you that Norris would had catched him up;)

I was there, standing at the finish line.

If it had been a 1/4 mile Norris would have won each time, providing he got a clean launch.

By 3/4 track he was pulling Jonus in. On a full 1/4 mile he would have enough track to catch and pass him.

Then you need to watch the movie again! Jonus has smaller brakes and goes of the trottle and on to the brakes earlier than Norris to be able to take the right hander in the end of the straight.

I even discussed the movie togheter with Jonus and Simon in the pit afterwards and even Simon agreed.

So I do not agree with you. Jonus was faster and he prooved it 6 times. Jonus 6 - Norris 0.

Awesome video! I have to admit the Norris Lancer is a great car! But the 90tq of Jonus is a stupid car and I'm a big fan of it. Overall I'm a big fan of the good ol' Audi 5-pot (20V T) engines. It's real masterpiece of the Audi engineers in the world of motoring! And actually 30y old - that's just It's awsome to know!! Btw. In my video library I also have put some vids of my friends RS2 and in a time i'm also doing my own Project with also 20V T angine OF COURSE! :-)

Simon was catching before Jonus gets out of the throttle. But Jonus still won, not taking anything away from him. The Audi is totally insane.
