I saw the animated movie based on the third book and I never saw it again. The Peter Jackson films however, I now watch when I have the chance.

the two versions are at some parts identical, the characters look really similar, at times they use the same movements in the same scenes... then again at some times one is has a darker affect over the other... they're both awesome
