    How do you know that this is "NOT" (as you put it) a reflection of his influences? Did your family live around his family when y'all were growing up? Do you think that because he was in Soundgarden, he couldn't be inspired/influenced by spirituality? I think you are talking about only musical influences, and the other person is talking about influences all around us. Listen to his voice and it is clear! He is VERY influenced by the spirit of which he is singing! Praise the Lord, Chris!
