Less talky more juicy.

@cmcil - i hear you need to eat about a cup of apple seeds before it will harm you. to eat the seeds with the apples is a good idea. bitter + sweet = yum.
-
@cmcil - i have eaten many, many apple seeds in my life because i learned decades ago that the 'cyanide' is also called 'laetrile' and laetrile is used in other countries to prevent - and even reverse - cancer. just don't eat LOTS of apple seeds at once. laetrile occurs in every seed, bean and nut, green leafy vegetables... in europe they sell a product they call 'Swedish bitters' and that keeps them healthy. 'bitter' is the flavor we avoid in the US - we have lots of cancer, hmm?
-
how does it do with leafy vegetables?
-
Finger juice is full of B vitamins and Iron.

you do not want that much steel contacting your juice it will seep metal into the juice. Plastic is much better and is just as easy to clean
-
be sure to hold the pitcher lid on while pouring. I made that mistake twice and got orange juice froth everywhere!!
-
what happens if you accidently your finger into the blades
-
blend fruit, juice vegetables

for the love of god get an apple corer like the oxo good grips one! it makes life SO much easier. and i think you would have to consume a LOT of apple seeds before you would ever have to worry about cyanide
Okay yeah, is that apple seeds contain a cyanide found in nature. In small amounts your body has no problem filtering the cyanide if you swallow a few here and there but at this amount, you could actually do damage to your liver. You may want to research it yourself, I found it on Wiki! lol. I know there has to be more out there on that subject. Thanks again for the video, I can't wait to get mine! I'm getting the same one, the Elite. Did you pay 399?

Plus they make the juice a bit sour. I cut the apples now and leave out the core but that is a good point on the Cn. I will look into that and see what info I can find. Yes I paid $399 at Williams-Sonoma. I was there the other day and noticed they have a new model of the same juicer. Looks about the same but has a 3 speed switch. My Mom accidentally put the champion we had in the oven and forgot about it when it came time to cook the turkey last year. You can guess what happened to it.

Just make sure you clean it after you are done juicing. (i.e. don't let it sit out overnight) I use it almost everyday with no problems. The blades are titanium plated and they look like the day I took it out of the box.

And Don't put the plastic parts (especially the pusher) in the dishwasher. They may warp and not fit right. If the pusher swells (which has happened with other juicers I've owned) the whole thing is worthless. And be careful of the blades and pulp screen. It costs $75.00 to replace.

Why buy a vegetable juicer to run apples? Use a food mill for that--much simpler, less expensive. Use this lawnmower for veggies and you'll get more than sugar water.

I do I do. Just happened to be apple day. I usually do carrots. 2 quarts a day. Makes a huge mess.
