Verdi requiem - dies irae

The dies irae and tuba mirum.

A classic performance by the BBC Welsh Orchestra and National Chorus of Wales at the 1994 National Eisteddfod in the Vale of Neath. The TV broadcast was live which might account for some hiccups with camera shots!

Indeed they did! I was singing in this performance and it was someone in the brass, perhaps dripping the mute off their trumpet. Also if you listen very carefully you hear a pile of dishes being dropped off stage at 1.42!

OMG. I managed the sound once in a school play called "Wyrd Sisters". This was the music they play when the witches crawled onto the stage in scene 1.
