Ivasyuk: Perfect Murder, Inter TV, 12.2.09, INTRO (1 OF 7)

Ukrainian TV channel Inter investigates the mysterious death, some same murder, at the hand of the Soviet authorities, of Ukrainian nationalist songwriter and performer Volodymyr Ivasyuk. Ivasyuk, famous for the song Chervona Ruta, which made him an overnight national sensation, was found hanged in woods just outside of Lviv, Western Ukraine, in May 1979. The two main theories to this day are murder or suicide.

The documentary, a mixture of Ukrainian and Russian, investigates the murder scene and speaks to relatives and experts.
