Formed in 1968 in Warwick, England, the Edgar Broughton Band were part of the late 60s British underground blues boom. They were contemporaries of Groundhogs, Hawkwind, and The Pink Fairies, but were unique within the movement due to their radical political consciousness. They were famous for performing free concerts, often on the backs of lorries, and their political aim was said to be 'subverting what's above'. Their bluesy and psychedelic hard rock, combined with their politics, led to their frequent inclusion in the bracket of protopunk. Perhaps best known for their chant: "Out Demons, Out!" which was always played at length, with variations for political leaders on both sides of the 'pond'.

  • イギリス・サイケデリックロックの代表、エドガー・ブロートン・バンド、ファンキフル"There's No Vibrations But Wait!"

  • digitally bastardized methinks...but if ye've never heard the original then no harm done..visibly onywize

  • @Diosibundo

Called Edgar Broughton after the lead singer. Rob "Edgar " Broughton

Not so daft now is it?

  • This isn't the version of the time. My original vinyl has a different (and preferred) version opening the album.

  • A 5 star song: There's No Vibrations, But Wait! (2001 Digital Remaster) - Edgar Broughton Band [Warwick, England] - 1970 - "AMG Pick. A spoken word song that is very catchy. It was the vocals that caught my attention." - Out Demons Out - The Best Of [Import Holland] (EMI Harvest)-2001.

  • yeah, right, thanks

  • Fantastic sounds!!! NEGATIVE, NEGATIVE!

  • WOW! These guys are GREAT! I never heard of them until today, I would have LOVED them when I was in high school... too bad aboutt he stupid name for their Band. I wonder if they'd be more famous had they opted for a more creative band name?

    Edgar who band? Fuck.

  • momma's reward is my fave..can't find it up here for the life o me..

  • Yeah indeed, although thisis a nice curiosity,it's no match for the original.

The socalled rémix from David Holmes, added nothing too.

I used to play this track often in my dj days, people always asked who the F this was.

    It's such an irresistible groove.
