  • individualism? no, no that's an abstraction we are made of atoms... stupid thinking is stupid

  • @osheaad Trees are not sentient beings; people are. An individual may be made up of stuff, but the defining boundary of what makes a person a person is their physical identity, the constraints of their embodiment. Ergo, a group of people is neither sentient nor conscious, just as a collection of mostly empty space and stuff is neither sentient nor conscious. If you follow, then you can see that what we are debating are levels of scale and organization; individuality is the most discrete level.

  • There are just systems.

    Systems Thinking

  • And there are NO TREES there is just mostly empty space-time and matter.

  • COLLECTIVISM.....nasty leninist/stalinist/maoist theory of the 50's...

  • When the word Americanism is mentioned I shudder every time. Teach your kids how to grow plants for food before teaching them useless curriculum

  • They only bringing back what was known hundreds of years ago and even if trees appear to look like growing on their own they are always providing an environment for other trees, plant and animal life to it. I remember as a child going to the Forrest to find mushrooms and they grew there in ample amounts with other plant life

  • Trees together is a forest, trees separately is not.

  • No stupid, there is such thing as a forest! Only trees are in an agricultural area or by the city streets. In a forest everything is correlated and a forest has special climate and soil conditions.

And the human societies are just like the forests, all of us are correlated to the other people. If we thing and act as individuals we are lost. That's why we have these problems now, because of individualism and new liberalism.

  • The only way humans can survive, is as a collective. If we stay to our selfs, we will die on our selfs.
