I never tried Cataclysm. They changed so many things to the worse, apparently the music has lost its magic, too. Im sure I'll never play WoW again, but I'll certainly never forget the experience in all my life. Im easily impressible by sound and music and this game was like paradise on earth for me. WoW in my opinion is the greatest piece of art in man's history. Its quite sad to watch it dying.

Can you point me to some of the Derek Duke tracks you were referring to?

Gladly. One of my favorite is definitely "Skywall" music which reflects the atmosphere of air elementals' aerial fortress, followed by music dedicated for "Goblins" ("Lost Isles Rescue") where are mostly very short but catchy and dippy tracks (fit for the goblin race). Underwater zone "Vashj'ir" is also nice. And as a bonus I'd like to mention my the most favorite track from the entire EP, Neal Acree's "Night elves". I cannot provide you my own samples yet, but Youtube will find them all.

Is Derek Duke still working for Blizzard?

Fortunately yes. Although Cataclysm music doesn't belong to my favorites at all, just Derek Duke brought some great tunes into that. Also, "reborn" Glenn Stafford and Neal Acree prepared some outstanding stuff. However, I'm mostly disappointed, cause nearly 50% of music consist of simple variations on 1 (rarely 3) main zone tracks. There are IMHO a very few remarkable/imaginative pieces as in old times . Mr Brower, after his excellent job on FotLK seems to be quiet flaccid. I feel sorry for that

Love it , remembers me the awesome place that is Kaskala and winter when playing Wotlk , the area discovery , etc ... This and lake winter grasp music from Derek duke i cannot forget , still give me chills !
