This is my favorite of this series. It is like walking through a living diorama. It is so easy to imagine yourself a traveler in the 12th century coming into a busy city.

  • I've returned there many,many times since shooting this video and I can see the "license system" in place. I'm sure if I just sat down in the street and started selling something, it would not be more than a few minutes before I had a visit from the "license" guy.

  • That spot you talk about where you can not put your own cart is "LICENCE" system you were talking of, or lack there of. Government employees in India are mostly corrupt. They harass these poor people if they go to them to get license. So these poors have developed their own "license"(beat you up!) system, which works great for most part!lol. It is not legal, but it makes their life run. And as in this video, where you can safely shoot the video, they do not get violent for other resons.
