Representing the Muslim perspective was Brother Nouman Ali Khan: Brother Nouman was born to a Muslim family, but later in life he turned towards atheism and then after gaining a better understanding about the Quran he finally had all his questions answered and then turned back to Islam.

He is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah, as well as the lead instructor for a number of Bayyinah courses including the 'Fundamentals of Classical Arabic' and 'Divine Speech'.

His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993.

But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies.

Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until '06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur'anic Tafseer series in English.

Representing the Christian side was Mr Frank Avila: Mr Avila is a devout Catholic, He is an attorney, political campaign consultant who has counseled Republicans (Jack Ryan) and Democrats (Ald. Manny Flores) and ran, himself, for Cook County Water Reclamation District Commissioner in the March, 2004 Democratic Primary.

To 787Aerospace - President Thomas Jefferson had a Qur'an so that he could learn about the people known as the Barbary Pirates. Later, the United States had to protect the trade ships from the Pirates because the Pirates were attacking and halting trade. This war was in the early 19th century.

I was the same way. I was agnostic because that's what most people tend to be in the United States, but when the terrorist attacks happened in 2001, I got a Qur'an to read about it. Remember, I am stupid.

@SolusChristusSDG Hey brother, Allah wants us to be at peace, humbleness, and tranquility. There is no compulsion in religion, I do my best to educate sincerely as I can with the finest truth from thy Lord Allah. That's good that you read the Quran, I dont give advice or anything like that, in my respect to Allah (Only He guides according to His own will). I kindly suggest you learn more about the teachings of the Quran and learn with a sincere heart how to embrace it forever.

So, your analogy regarding Islam being quickly growing means nothing and all others who use it, a fallacy of great absurdity.

To 787Aerospace - if you read the Bible, you'll see the people of Israel in the Old Testament quickly moved to a new religion and worshiped the Golden Calf. So, if they were able to quickly move to worshiping a Golden Calf and they did it in the matter of days, then back then they were the fastest growing religion of Calf worshipers.Fastest growing?

I was once an agnostic until the 9/11 tragedy and then I began to read the Qur'an and Judaism, the Talmud and Hadith. So, I know a little bit. :)

To 787Aerospace - You ask me to show you the original bible? Well, it was developed over thousands of years, preserved by God. It was on stone, animal skin, papyrus, paper, copper, etc. So, if you like, YOU can look it up for yourself. I don't have to show it to you, because you have that ability.

By the way, since you ask me to show you the original bible then I ask you to show me the Original Qur'an. Show it to me? I want to see the Original? Did Mohammad stamp it: ORIGINAL. Where is it?

@SolusChristusSDG Show me the original scripture (the untouched version of the Torah and Gospel) if you are so truthful, were not saying everything is wrong in the old and new testaments, but it has been altered, edited, deleted, and assertions have been made. Use your head dude, the Holy Quran is the ONLY true preserved book in the world, and it is the only book from God, that has been memorized letter by letter by 10 million + Muslims in the world. Read the Quran! read!
